Feed Your SOUL from the Inside Out

Mindful Healthy Cooking is about learning to love the process of cooking one stir at a time.

You and your friends will be welcomed into this amazing class with tea infused cardamom and a chance to slow down and let cooking and eating be truly something to enjoy! Upon completion of this 6 week series, you will have learned over 15 recipes and possess a thorough understanding of Indian Vegetarian Cooking. Additionally, you will learn core concepts of mindfulness applied to everyday life.

Mindful Eating is about understanding satiety and discerning between hunger and emotions.  

Body Intuition™ is an 8 week group program utilizing an integrative approach to address and help implement healthy lifestyle change and stress reduction through mindfulness. The group meets weekly and is taught the principles and latest research findings on mindfulness related to eating and stress, group discussion, and hands on exercises to help participants become successful in behavior change. Come learn proven and sustainable practices for your health and well-being in a warm and supportive environment.

This class is an integrative approach to developing a healthy relationship with yourself and food.

Here's everything you'll get:
    • Proven tips and techniques to change unhealthy behaviors
    • 2 personalized coaching sessions
    • 16 hours of group support
    • 50 minute guided imagery CD to promote self acceptance and relaxation
    • Core focus in mindfulness based practices and mindful eating

Intuitive Walking

Practice Mindfulness Wherever You are: Mindful Walking 

Intuitive Walking™ is an 8-week exploration of developing a mindfulness practice through walking meditation. The benefits of mindfulness have been proven to have many physiological and psychological benefits. In the western world, we typically lead very busy lives with technology driving the pace.  The hours of multi-tasking and always doing leaves no space to breathe, connect, or just be. The practice of mindfulness allows one to slow down and focus on the present moment. 

Some reported benefits of mindfulness are:
    • enhanced concentration
    • restored immunity
    • inner calm
    • cultivation of compassion for oneself and others
    • mood regulation
    • increased physical well-being

This class incorporates the use of walking, nature, breath, vision, rhythm, and words to promote a meditation practice to increase quality of life and mental clarity. This class is open to any age or fitness level.  This is the perfect class for a beginner or more advanced practitioner.  Come learn skills in mindfulness that you can apply anywhere, even walking!

A Girl’s Intuition™
A Girl’s Intuition™ is a fitness and wellness program for teen girls from the ages of 11-18.  The research shows that teenage girls are very susceptible to self-esteem and body image issues during the teenage years.  When addressed early with group-based prevention programs, there can be significant improvements in body satisfaction, self esteem, and eating attitudes and behaviors. 

A Girl’s Intuition™ is an educational and group-support program addressing the following topics:
    • Healthy weight/body image
    • Exercise prescription and Stress Reduction techniques
    • Healthy nutrition with fun recipes 
    • Emotional eating – what it is, how to recognize it, how to control it
    • Core concepts and practices of mindfulness for emotional awareness and regulation
    • Conflict resolution and communication skills
    • Self-esteem enhancement
    • Hands on exercises in expressive arts, guided imagery, exercise, yoga,
      and didactic discussion.
 

This program can be formatted to the needs and concerns of your organization and/or school.  Weekly sessions of 1-2 hours are best and 4-8 weeks in duration.

Participants in the program will receive weekly handouts addressing the topic of the week and a guided imagery CD which emphasizes positive body image and relaxation.

Peer Wellness Coaching
Peer Wellness Coaching is a 5 hour training to teach employees the benefits of wellness coaching.  The training is customized to the busy professional aimed at long term healthy behavior change. This training is offered in the workplace and is broken down into one hour blocks.  Participants engage in small group discussions, interactive exercises, and are also paired up with a peer coach to practice the fundamentals in wellness coaching.  This program facilitates long term change through peer support and establishes a wellness culture in the workplace.  

Benefits of the Peer Wellness Coaching Program

  • Community Building- Increasing social skills such as listening and communication, can help create supportive social interactions, thus building a collaborative and healthy work environment.
  • Sustainable Healthy Practices- Helps to create weekly goal setting and support for long term healthy behavior change.

The Healing Spirit Cancer Program™
The Healing Spirit Cancer Program™ is an 8-week long comprehensive exercise and wellness program for patients currently going through treatment and who are survivors of cancer. 

It has been found that maintaining or increasing one’s physical fitness during cancer treatment can improve quality of life, reduce the number and intensity of side effects, prevent bone loss (a side effect of chemotherapy and radiation treatments), aid in sleep, decrease anxiety and depression, and help in overall recovery.

Program Outline

  • Personalized pre and post physical functioning and fitness assessments
  • Individualized Personal Training Program created for each participant
  • Weekly structured group exercise
  • Weekly Mind/ Body Wellness Topics specific to Cancer Health and Healing
